I'm always blown away by his simple, straightforward technique and amazing singing.

Some of their takes on country/folk/blues standards sound better for modern ears, just don't know if you can call them gold standard versions: Big River, Mama Tried, Viola Lee, BIODTL, Big Railroad Blues... and while we're here, just got to love Ain't It Crazy (The Rub) if if not gold standard.

Big Railroad Blues and Ain't It Crazy (The Rub) are definite contenders. Love Pigpen doing The Rub!
